Sporting Kansas City vs Austin FC Prediction, Betting Tips, Lineups & Odds

Sporting Kansas City is struggling at home and welcomes an Austin FC team that knows how to make this match difficult. While neither side is in blistering form right now, Austin’s recent head-to-head record suggests they have the edge in this MLS fixture.

Our main bet of the match is Austin FC on the +0.25 Asian Handicap at -109 odds. The stats back this up; Austin has covered the +0.25 line in four of their last five away games and seven of their last ten overall. Sporting KC, on the other hand, has struggled to cover the -0.25 line recently, failing to do so in four straight matches and in thirteen of their last sixteen at home. Splitting your stake between a draw and a narrow Austin win is the safest way to chase this line.

Sporting KC comes into this game off back-to-back losses, including a 3-1 defeat to Real Salt Lake at Children’s Mercy Park. They haven’t won a home game in their last three outings, conceding an average of 2.1 goals per match. Andre Luiz is their main threat with seven goals, but the defense needs to tighten up if they want to stop Austin’s attack.

Austin FC has also had their struggles, losing their last three games, including a 2-1 loss to Vancouver. However, they have shown resilience on the road, keeping things close. Christian Ramirez leads the team with four goals, and they’ll rely on his finishing to grab a result. The confirmed lineups show Sporting KC in a 4-4-2 with Stefan Cleveland in goal, while Austin sets up in a 3-4-3 with Damian Las guarding the net.

Looking at player props, Kwaku Agyabeng is a solid play to get a shot on target at +135. For Austin, Facundo Torres has scored in his last five away games, making the +320 anytime goalscorer odds look very tempting. Don’t overlook the corners market either; Sporting KC over 5.5 corners at +104 is worth a look, as they’ve gone over that line in their last two home matches, while Austin has conceded heavy corner counts on the road.
