Quentin Tarantino Has Script for Tenth Film, But Play Comes First
Tarantino has always said he’d retire after ten films, and he’s now got the script for that final movie. But he’s not rushing into it. He’s got a play to finish first. He shared the news on ‘The Graham Norton Show’ recently, his first appearance there in over a decade, alongside guests like Ellen DeGeneres and Colin Farrell. ‘I’ve written a script I really like, but I want to do the play and see who I am,’ Tarantino said. ‘Then I’ll spend time with family and figure out what’s next.’ The play, ‘The Popinjay Cavalier,’ started as a screenplay but works better on stage. Starring Sacha Baron Cohen, it opens in London’s Phoenix Theatre in March, running until June. It’s described as a swashbuckling comedy, and Tarantino is excited to bring it to the West End. His last film was ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ in 2019, which earned Brad Pitt an Oscar and nominations for Tarantino and DiCaprio.
