Is SNL New Tonight, October 24? Dakota Johnson Hosts with Taylor Swift Cameo and Turnstile Performs

So, you’re probably wondering if Saturday Night Live is on tonight, October 24, 2026. Good news – it is, but it’s a re-air of the episode from earlier this month. Still, it’s got plenty to get excited about. Dakota Johnson is hosting for the third time, and she didn’t do it alone. Taylor Swift made a hilarious cameo in her opening monologue, which had everyone talking. And the musical guest? Turnstile, the Baltimore rock band, is making their SNL debut with songs from their latest album, Never Enough. But before we get to tonight, there’s been some buzz from SNL UK. James Austin Johnson, a cast member from the main show, did a stunning cross-cast appearance, nailing his Trump impression in a cold open that swapped jobs between Trump and UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham. It was wild to see, and it shows how the cast is keeping things fresh even during the hiatus. For tonight’s show, Johnson’s impression was spot-on, complaining about everything from UK politics to tiger attacks – classic Trump stuff. Now, back to the main event: Dakota Johnson’s episode originally aired on October 3, and it’s worth catching up on. She’s the daughter of Melanie Griffith, who hosted back in the day, so it’s a family affair. Taylor Swift’s cameo was a fun twist, adding some star power to Johnson’s monologue about her love life. And Turnstile? They had to shuffle their tour schedule to be on SNL, which shows how big this is for them. They’ll be performing ‘Birds’ and a medley of ‘I Care’ and ‘Dull’. If you missed it, you can stream it on Peacock, or check out the sketches online. It’s a great episode with laughs and music, so don’t miss out!
