Car Accident Lawyer Brendan Flanagan Named to TopVerdict National List – USFTB

ATLANTA, GA – October 23, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –

Flanagan Law, P.C. announced that a Fulton County, Georgia trucking verdict appears on TopVerdict.com’s national list of the Top 10 Motor Vehicle Accident Verdicts in the United States in 2025. The list names Brendan Flanagan and attorney Morgan E. Lyndall of Flanagan Law among the plaintiff’s counsel, alongside lawyers from other firms. The case is ninth on the list, and the firm describes its crash practice on its Brendan Flanagan car accident lawyer page.

The site compiles annual lists of the largest case results obtained by attorneys and law firms nationwide. This one covers cases tried to a verdict before a state or federal jury, ranked in order of result size. This verdict is tagged under truck accidents, rear-end collisions and highway accidents. The same case also appears on the Top 20 Wrongful Death Verdicts and Top 100 Verdicts lists for 2025.

The case arose from a 2017 crash on Interstate 20 near Fulton Industrial Boulevard, where a tractor-trailer struck a disabled car at highway speed and killed the man inside. His family brought a wrongful death claim against the trucking company, and a Fulton County jury returned its verdict on March 20, 2025, after a trial in two phases. The firm reports the total verdict at $99.9 million, including $66.25 million in compensatory damages for the full value of the man’s life and his estate’s pain and suffering.

The second phase dealt with evidence lost or destroyed after the crash, which is known in law as spoliation. In a 27-page order, the court found that the carrier had a duty to preserve the truck, its dash camera data and the driver’s hours-of-service logbooks, and that it failed to meet that duty. According to the firm’s published account, the truck was scrapped before the family’s experts were scheduled to inspect it. After hearing how the company handled that evidence, the jury added punitive damages and attorney’s fees.

“A police accident report is only a starting point,” said Flanagan, the firm’s founder and principal attorney. “Georgia’s comparative negligence rule reduces a recovery by the injured person’s share of fault. Proof decides these cases, and in a truck case nearly all of that proof sits with the trucking company. Cameras get erased, trucks get repaired or scrapped, and witnesses move, so evidence collection and witness statements cannot wait. Evidence runs on a shorter clock than the statute of limitations.”

Flanagan, a personal injury lawyer who has represented injured people his entire career, led the plaintiff’s trial team as first chair. He earned his law degree at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2014. Lyndall, a former insurance defense lawyer, also served as counsel.

“Insurance companies pay attention to the lawyers who are ready to go in front of a jury,” Flanagan said. “We prepare serious cases for trial from the beginning, with a focus on evidence, expert work and jury presentation.”

Flanagan Law, P.C. is a personal injury trial firm in Atlanta, Georgia, founded in 2015 by Brendan Flanagan to represent injured people and families. Its car accident attorney team handles rear-end and hit-and-run collisions and uninsured motorist claims. Its lawyers also handle truck, rideshare, motorcycle and bus crashes and represent families after a fatal wreck.

Both sides have appealed the verdict to the Court of Appeals of Georgia, and Flanagan is listed as an attorney on both appeals. Prior results do not guarantee or predict a similar outcome in any future case.
