Colorado’s making a change at quarterback, and it’s sticking for their next game. Isaac Wilson is set to take the snaps against No. 12 Texas Tech, stepping in after replacing JuJu Lewis during the loss to Baylor last week. Wilson didn’t light the world on fire, but he managed 156 yards and a touchdown on 12-of-25 passing, while Lewis struggled with just 75 yards before getting benched. The Buffs’ biggest play was a 49-yard catch from Joseph Williams, who led the team with 11 receptions. Wilson, the younger brother of New Orleans Saints QB Zach Wilson, transferred from Utah after a freshman season where he threw for over 1,500 yards. Lewis, one of Deion Sanders’ top recruits, has passed for 733 yards and six touchdowns, but Colorado’s offense is averaging a measly 21.5 points per game, ranking near the bottom of college football. With the team sitting at 2-2 and the offense turning the ball over nine times, they’re hoping Wilson can bring some magic against a Texas Tech squad that’s no pushover.
