Commanders OC David Blough not satisfied after win over Seahawks

The Washington Commanders finally got their first win of the season against the Seattle Seahawks 33-31, and they are looking to build on that momentum with another win against the Indianapolis Colts in London this Sunday.

Despite putting up 33 points on the reigning Super Bowl champions and winning, offensive coordinator David Blough is not satisfied with how the offense performed, particularly with penalties and third-down efficiency.

“Truthfully, it was not really up to our standard as an offense,” Blough said. “Too many pre-snap penalties, too many third downs where we couldn’t convert, and it starts with me and coaching it, teaching it better, and there is certainly a lot of good stuff as well. There [were] big-time plays in big-time moments. Thought Marcus stepped in, did an excellent job, and a lot of our guys, when we needed them to be at their best, they certainly were. So, there’s a lot to build on against a good team, and then looking forward to a good challenge this week as we get ready for Indy.”
