So, you’ve probably heard about ‘Flight’ – it’s that movie where Denzel Washington plays a pilot who’s got some serious demons. The film starts with a bang, literally, as Whip Whitaker has to pull off a crazy plane landing while he’s drunk out of his mind. It’s intense stuff that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat. But here’s the kicker: after that action-packed opening, the movie shifts gears and turns into this deep dive into addiction and morality. Denzel’s performance is raw and real, showing a guy who’s a hero but also a mess. No wonder it got him an Oscar nod – his first in 11 years since ‘Training Day’. That gap was way too long, and ‘Flight’ proves he’s still got it. The critics gave it 4 out of 5 stars, and I agree. It’s not perfect, but it’s a ride worth taking. You can rent it on YouTube or Amazon if you’re itching to watch it.
