Status report
Neither team held a morning skate following Colorado’s 3-2 win at Dallas on Tuesday. … Kiviranta will return after missing three games with a lower-body injury. … Johnston did not travel with the Stars; the defenseman was a late scratch Tuesday due to an illness. … Makar is expected to miss his second straight game after the defenseman’s wife gave birth to twins. … O’Connor, a forward, remains out following the death of his father last week. … L’Heureux was a late scratch Tuesday because of an upper-body injury; if he cannot play, the Avalanche will recall a player from Colorado of the American Hockey League before puck drop.
