Ravens Re-sign Jake Moody to Practice Squad, Intensifying Competition for Tyler Loop
The Baltimore Ravens have brought kicker Jake Moody back to their practice squad for the second time this season. Moody, who spent two weeks on the squad in early September, is now set to challenge Tyler Loop. Loop has shown promise with 10 successful field goals out of 13 attempts in 2026, including a game-winning 56-yarder in overtime against the Dallas Cowboys and the longest kick in M&T Bank Stadium history against the Tennessee Titans. But recent struggles, like missing a 49-yard field goal in the fourth quarter of the loss to the Cleveland Browns that changed the game’s momentum, have put pressure on him. Head Coach Jesse Minter highlighted the importance of clutch kicks, stating that second-half misses can be as costly as turnovers. The team is focusing on helping Loop build confidence for critical moments.
