Hawkeye Confirms He’s Not in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and Predicts the Team Will Lose Without Him
Jeremy Renner has finally addressed the big question: is Hawkeye in Avengers: Doomsday? In a recent Q&A, Renner was blunt about his absence, saying, “No, no, no, no. Not in that one. Doomsday I’m not in, so The Avengers will probably lose, just so you know… they didn’t call me, so it’s their fault they’re going to lose.”
While he is joking around, it confirms that the iconic archer won’t be part of the big showdown. This news comes after Renner previously spoke out about Marvel offering him half of what he made for the first season of Hawkeye to return for season two. The show also starred Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, who has been teasing her appearance in the upcoming movies. If she shows up, Renner might return as well, likely in Secret Wars rather than Doomsday.
Currently, a massive list of heroes is missing from Doomsday, including Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, and Spider-Man. Some fans think Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch might be hidden under masks as Doctor Doom’s allies, and Spider-Man might show up after being stranded in space. But without Hawkeye, the Avengers will definitely feel the loss of one of their original core members.
