DeMarcus Cousins Points Finger at Jason Kidd for Tatum-Brown Split
DeMarcus Cousins is claiming that Jason Kidd played a role in the fallout between Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. During an appearance on ‘Gil’s Arena,’ Cousins singled out Kidd’s comments from the 2024 NBA Finals, where Kidd called Brown Boston’s best player after Game 1. Cousins believes this was a calculated move to create division, saying, ‘He was just playing mind games to win the game.’ Despite the comments, Tatum and Brown didn’t take the bait, with Brown saying he had ‘no reaction’ and Tatum noting it’s not the first time people tried to drive a wedge between them. The Celtics went on to win the championship that year, but now Tatum and Brown are no longer teammates. Cousins feels Kidd’s words set the stage for their eventual split.
