‘Literal Blasphemy,’ ‘Disrespect to One of the GOAT Falcons’ — NFL Fans Rip Host for Taking Drake London Over Legendary WR Julio Jones
The Atlanta Falcons are coming off a 30-23 overtime loss to the Baltimore Ravens, dropping to 2-3 on the season. Despite the team’s struggles, wide receiver Drake London has continued to produce, recording 27 receptions on 37 targets for 488 receiving yards and averaging 18.1 yards per catch, though he has yet to score a touchdown.
While London’s performances have given Falcons fans reasons for optimism, has he done enough to be mentioned alongside franchise legend Julio Jones? One radio host says he would already take London over Jones, naturally drawing sharp backlash from fans.

Falcons Fans Slam Nick Cellini’s Drake London vs. Julio Jones Take
Nick Cellini of Atlanta sports radio station “680 The Fan” made his preference clear Wednesday.
“If you ask me who I want to run out of the tunnel on a Sunday in a Falcons uniform, I’ll take Drake London,” Cellini said.
Cellini’s preference did not sit well with many Falcons fans, who viewed the comparison as disrespectful to Jones and his legacy in Atlanta.
“Disrespect to one of the GOAT Falcons and top 5 WR all time,” one wrote.
“Wildly disrespectful,” another said.
“The Drake over Julio debate is just stupid and a waste of dialogue,” a third fan added.

London has recorded 336 receptions for 4,449 yards and 22 touchdowns in his career so far. His production this season has also earned him the No. 4 spot among NFL wide receivers, with a PFN WR Impact Score of 88.5.
London continues to establish himself as one of Atlanta’s key offensive weapons, but matching Jones’ legacy is a much bigger challenge. In his first five NFL seasons, Jones appeared in 65 games, recording 414 receptions for 6,201 yards and 34 touchdowns.
He also surpassed 1,300 receiving yards in six consecutive seasons, establishing himself as one of the league’s most dangerous wide receivers. Jones finished his career with 914 receptions for 13,703 yards and 66 touchdowns, numbers that help explain why many Falcons fans took issue with Cellini’s comparison.

“You’re out of your mind,” a person said.
“This is literal blasphemy,” another chimed in.
“This is insane revisionism. Julio is Drake with 4.3 speed,” one X user added.
“Is this a bottom 5 take in the history of sports takes?” one quipped.
Jones’ five All-Pro selections and seven Pro Bowl appearances set a high bar for London, who has yet to earn his first Pro Bowl nod. While London is building an impressive resume, he still has plenty to prove before entering the same conversation as Atlanta’s former star.
