OXFORD — Ole Miss football star running back Kewan Lacy has exited the game against Missouri on Oct. 17.
He was taken into the medical tent on the field for evaluation after the first quarter. It was reported on the TV broadcast that it is a lower-body injury. He exited the tent on the sideline and started pacing behind the bench. He entered the tent again shortly afterward.
Lacy later moved to the exercise bike on the sideline.
Ole Miss leads Missouri 7-3 in the second quarter. Lacy has been great so far against the Tigers. He has 59 rushing yards on six carries, and he hurdled Missouri cornerback Chris Graves to pick up a third down.
Lacy has been banged up since Week 3 against LSU when he suffered a shoulder injury. Lacy did not play in the Rebels’ Week 4 loss against Florida.
Michigan State transfer Makhi Frazier and LSU transfer JT Lindsey are the backup running backs behind Lacy.
