Kansas City Garth Brooks ticket sales halted over bots
KANSAS CITY, Mo. —
“The bot situation is out of hand.”
That’s the message shared by country music superstar Garth Brooks on Friday, along with an apology.
Ticket sales for the third Garth Brooks show scheduled for the T-Mobile Center next month were shut down due to what organizers are calling “excessive bot activity.”
In a message also shared by the T-Mobile Center, officials said Brooks and the promoters are evaluating next steps and the future of the show.
Brooks said the bot situation for tickets has been progressively worse throughout the tour, and that bots managed to crash the sale Friday.
“My concern is for the people who managed to buy tickets today for the third show in Kansas City before the bots crashed the on sale,” Brooks said.
“I will personally look into what can be done. You have my word that all that can be done will be done. You have my deepest apologies for the results and my most sincere appreciation for your efforts today.”
Brooks announced earlier this week that he was adding on a third show to his Kansas City stop on the “Blame It All On My Roots” tour due to high demand.
He has previously sold out the T-Mobile Center 16 times.
Tickets for this show were priced at $155, which is a $140 ticket price, a $5 facility fee and a $10 service charge, plus taxes, according to a news release. Every seat in the house was the same price.
Tickets were being sold through AXS.
