All Jack Reacher needs is his toothbrush, passport, a hot coffee, and a bus ticket to get into trouble. And trouble is exactly what he finds in the new novel ‘Chain Reaction’, releasing tomorrow. This 31st installment, co-written by Lee Child and Andrew Child, picks up after last year’s ‘Exit Strategy’. Reacher is pulled into an investigation involving a murder, the Pentagon, and a remote Colorado town called Summertown. It’s a bizarre place with one diner, one motel, five massive data centers, two solar farms, and only four residents – the math just doesn’t add up. General Susan Turner, a fan favorite, returns to seek Reacher’s help when a member of her elite team is killed undercover. Unable to trust anyone in her department, she turns to Reacher for his unbreakable moral code. The TV adaptation continues with Alan Ritchson as Reacher, and season four of the Prime Video series is set to adapt ‘Gone Tomorrow’ later this year. ‘Chain Reaction’ hits shelves on October 20, 2026.
