Rays and Guardians Shake Up ALCS Rosters with Pitcher Swaps
So, the baseball scene is heating up as the Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Guardians make some roster moves for the AL Championship Series. The Rays have added rookie right-hander Brody Hopkins to their lineup and dropped lefty Garrett Cleavinger. On the other side, the Guardians have brought in right-hander Slade Cecconi, replacing utilityman Daniel Schneemann. Apart from these changes, the Rays are keeping things the same with 14 hitters and 12 pitchers, just like they had after sweeping the Yankees. The Guardians, though, are carrying 13 pitchers after their five-game battle with the White Sox. Cecconi had a tough season, especially after moving to the bullpen in August, while Hopkins made his debut in September with some strikeouts but also walks. Cleavinger didn’t pitch in the Yankees series, so this swap might shake things up.
