Olivia Dean Snubbed by NRL Grand Final Over M Price Tag Demand

The NRL reportedly passed up on having record-breaking singer Olivia Dean perform at the Grand Final pre-game show. The English popstar, who’s about to kick off her sold-out Australian tour, was in talks for the gig but her demand for over $1 million was a deal-breaker. This comes after the AFL scored Kylie Minogue for their event, so the NRL wanted a big name too. Instead, they went with Amy Shark, which has stirred up drama because of her old comments downplaying the NRL. Shark will lead a group of artists in singing ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’. Meanwhile, Silverchair almost reunited for the show but backed out, saying they’re too rusty. Knights legend Matty Johns thinks it was close, but their manager advised them to wait for a bigger comeback moment.
