The San Antonio Spurs are heading to Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Jazz in this preseason matchup. After splitting their first two games against the Nuggets, the Jazz now face a fresh challenge with the Spurs, who were runners-up last season and are tipped as future champions. If Victor Wembanyama suits up, this game offers a low-stakes chance to see how the Jazz handle a player who’s likely to dominate the West for years to come.
I’m keen to see what lineups Will Hardy throws out there. Preseason is all about testing the waters, so don’t be surprised if the starting five looks nothing like what we’ll see in the regular season. Will Josh Okogie get a shot with the starters? Could Keyonte sit to give Darryn Peterson more time at point guard? And what about Blake Hinson getting minutes with the main crew? This is the perfect time for Hardy to experiment.
All eyes will be on Darryn Peterson after his mixed performance against the Nuggets. He bounced back in the second game, but now he’s facing the Spurs’ tough backcourt. Just hope he’s healthy – the injury list might look familiar from last season.
Game details: It’s at the Delta Center, 7pm MDT. Catch it on KJZZ, Jazz+, or NBA League Pass depending on where you are.
