Jerry Jones’ $10M Gift: A Nod to His Arkansas Roots

Jerry Jones, the owner and general manager of the Dallas Cowboys, has a net worth of $23.2 billion, and he’s known for using his wealth for good causes. Over the years, he and his wife Gene have supported charities like the Salvation Army, the National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation, and more. Now, Jones is adding another generous act to his list. The Clinton Foundation recently announced that he’s donating $10 million to help fund modernization at the Clinton Presidential Center and support the Clinton School of Public Service, both in Little Rock, Arkansas. Jones made this announcement during a visit to the Little Rock Touchdown Club, a place close to his heart since he grew up in North Little Rock. He shared that the gift aims to create opportunities for young people in Arkansas, including student-athletes and students. In a statement, Jones emphasized how Arkansas, Little Rock, and the University of Arkansas have been central to his family’s journey. He also highlighted the lasting impact of the Clinton Presidential Center on education and service. Beyond his philanthropy, Jones built his fortune as an oil wildcatter in the 1970s and continues to invest in drilling and real estate. The Dallas Cowboys, under his leadership, are the most valuable team in the NFL, worth an estimated $17 billion.
