Storm Alert: Los Angeles Braces for Heavy Rain and Flood Watch
Reporting live from Newport Beach, we’re witnessing a beautiful sunset, but storm clouds are gathering on the horizon. This storm system is moving close to the Southern California coast, near San Luis Obispo, and it’s going to bring significant changes. Rain will start moving into Los Angeles County this afternoon, becoming heavier and more widespread by Tuesday. We’re expecting up to three inches of rain in the mountainous areas. The unsettled weather will continue from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday noon. Because of this, a flood watch has been issued for all the mountainous regions in the county. It’s important to prepare for coastal erosion and potential urban flooding.
