Why Everton Have Every Right to Fume at Premier League’s International Break Scheduling

Everton have every reason to be upset with the Premier League’s scheduling after the latest international break. Returning to club football is tough enough without having to play away from home. In their last six matches following a break, five have been on the road, and the results show the impact – just one win and only five points from a possible fifteen. The upcoming fixtures offer little relief: an away trip to Brentford in November and a visit to Crystal Palace in March. Playing without the support of a home crowd after a disrupted period makes the challenge even harder, so the club’s frustration is completely justified.
