Malachi Toney passes Pro Football Hall of Famer on Miami career receiving yards list – USFTB
With 11 receptions for 154 yards and two touchdowns against Florida State on Saturday, Malachi Toney passed Pro Football Hall of Famer Andre Johnson on the Miami career receiving yardage list. Toney is 11th in Miami history with 1,969 receiving yards after his big game in the Hurricanes’ 43-35 double-overtime win over FSU.
Toney is fifth in Miami history with 159 receptions and ninth with 18 career TD receptions. By the end of the 2026 regular season, Toney should own Miami’s career records for receptions and receiving yards and have an outside chance at the TD record.
Johnson is 31st in Miami history with 92 receptions, 14th with 1,831 yards and seventh with 20 TD receptions. Most of Johnson’s production occurred in 2001 and 2002 after he played behind Santana Moss and Reggie Wayne as a freshman in 2000.
Xavier Restrepo holds the Miami career records with 200 receptions and 2,844 receiving yards. Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Irvin holds the Miami record with 26 career receiving TDs.
