Last night, downtown Portland’s famous White Stag sign got a cool new addition – none other than All-Star point guard Ja Morant, who’s the latest big name joining the Trail Blazers. The neon sign was revealed just before the team’s home opener at Moda Center. The game kicks off at 7 p.m. on KUNP, so don’t miss the action and the Rip City Wrap-Up right after. The new sign also includes the phrase ‘LOOK WHO’S UP’ along with Nike’s Swoosh and Morant’s shoe logo, which seems like a special nod to his first game as a Blazer. A spokesperson mentioned that Ja will be featured on the sign until November 7. Crews worked on installing it Tuesday, keeping it hidden under tarps until the big unveiling. The City of Portland has owned the sign for over a decade, and it’s a beloved part of the skyline. Every year, the sign gets its red nose about a month before Thanksgiving, adding to its charm.
