Grandma, 68, Sets Guinness Record with Fiery Stunt in Final Destination
At 68 years old, grandmother Yvette Ferguson has set a Guinness World Record by performing a full-body burn stunt for the horror movie Final Destination: Bloodlines. The Canadian stuntwoman, who started her career in Vancouver in 1986, did the scene where her character, Mrs. Fuller, flees a collapsing restaurant floor before being set alight by a blowtorch. Filmed on March 14, 2024, she wore flame-resistant clothing, special gel, and accelerant, then sprinted through the set to trigger a staged explosion. After four decades of performing dangerous stunts like falls and vehicle flips, Ferguson said she trusts her team and is excited to keep working in films.
