The Washington Commanders have been rocking the ‘Hail Raiser’ helmet this season, and now there’s buzz that they might make it a permanent part of their look. According to reports, the team is keen on turning the design with the ‘W’ and spear into their main logo. Josh Harris, the managing partner, was spotted wearing a hat with the spear emblem and mentioned that fans are loving the direction they’re heading. He’s all for it, saying it ties everything together. However, nothing is set in stone yet because there could be some legal and financial bumps in the road. The aim, though, is to have it in place by the start of the 2027 season if everything checks out. This logo was first seen in April as part of an all-black alternate uniform for 2026. Historically, the Commanders used a similar spear design on their helmets from 1965 to 1969 and brought it back for a couple of seasons in the early 2000s. Since rebranding as the Commanders in 2022, they’ve primarily used a bold ‘W’ in burgundy and gold.
