Carolina has officially placed Xavier Legette on injured reserve, sidelining him for at least three more games. Jalen Coker, the team’s leading receiver, is also expected to miss Sunday night’s game against Detroit because of a quad injury. To fill the void, the Panthers elevated Ja’seem Reed from the practice squad, while Tetairoa McMillan, John Metchie III, Brycen Tremayne, and David Moore round out the receiving corps. Right tackle Monroe Freeling cleared concussion protocol and will start. Defensive linemen Lee Hunter and Cam Jackson remain questionable, and starting left guard Damien Lewis is out. The team also elevated cornerback Robert Rochell, with Will Lee III and Akayleb Evans set to start in place of injured Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson. Several other players are on injured reserve or out, including Nic Scourton, Chris Brazzell II, Brady Christensen, Jonathon Brooks, Trevor Etienne, Bam Martin-Scott, and offensive tackles Ikem Ekwonu and Taylor Moton.
