Tacko Fall Gets Two-Way Contract with 76ers Amid Frontcourt Injuries
PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia 76ers have given center Tacko Fall a two-way contract, the team announced on Saturday. Just last month, Fall was signed to an Exhibit 10 deal, but injuries to the frontcourt likely played a role in this decision. Ariel Hukporti, who was expected to be the backup center, suffered a season-ending Achilles tear during the preseason. Meanwhile, Adem Bona has been sidelined with a foot injury, and Dominick Barlow has been dealing with back soreness that kept him out of the preseason games. Fall hasn’t played in the NBA since the 2021-22 season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. This will mark his fourth season in the league, and he spent his first two years in Boston alongside Jaylen Brown, who is now a forward for the 76ers. At 30 years old, Fall most recently played for the Ningbo Rockets in the Chinese Basketball Association.
