Josh Brolin Hails ‘Sicario 3’ Cast as ‘Untouchable’ as Franchise Moves Forward Without Taylor Sheridan
The third installment of the gritty ‘Sicario’ franchise is officially moving forward, and fans have a lot to look forward to. While the original creator Taylor Sheridan won’t be writing the script—Steven Knight is the guy putting it together—star Josh Brolin couldn’t be happier with how things are shaping up.
Brolin, who reprises his role as the tough-as-nails CIA operator Matt Graver, recently chatted with ScreenRant about where the project stands. He mentioned that they are still in the “notes process” working out the script, but the core cast is locked in and ready to go. Joining Brolin are heavyweights Benicio Del Toro and Emily Blunt, bringing back the killer dynamic that made the first two films such a thrill ride.
Brolin had nothing but glowing words for his co-stars. He pointed out that this will be the sixth film he and Del Toro have done together, and his bond with Blunt is just as strong. “We adore each other,” Brolin said, mentioning he even sent Blunt a voice memo just the other day. He summed up their collective effort perfectly, saying the work has reached a level that is just “untouchable.”
While we still don’t have a concrete release date for ‘Sicario 3’, it is clear that the team is taking their time to get it right. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates on this highly anticipated sequel.
