Ethan Hawke plays Lee Raybon, a sloppy journalist who chases corruption in Tulsa. The season introduces Betty Gilpin as a public defender who sparks a tentative romance, and Tommy Lee Jones as Lee’s long‑lost father, forcing him to confront old resentions while trying to be present for his teenage daughter. The story follows a prison mystery where inmates vanish, pulling Lee and Ginger into a web of crooked guards and judges. The series balances humor and danger, featuring strong performances from Hawke, Gilpin, Jones, and young Ryan Kiera Armstrong. Its loose, road‑movie rhythm gives the show a distinctive, laid‑back feel.
