The regular season for the Philadelphia 76ers is here.
But before the team takes the floor, there are a few players who are still in awe about playing with one of the greatest players to grace the court, LeBron James.

VJ Edgecombe and Jaylen Brown were a part of an interview with ESPN and they were asked about playing with James and both had very different answers. For Edgecombe, he was just surprised that James was still in the league by the time he arrived. Meanwhile, Brown was excited because the younger version of him was ecstatic to be playing with a player of James’ caliber.
It’s amazing to hear players speak about James in this way considering he commends his teammates for how they’ve embraced him and given him motivation going into this season. Jaylen Brown was a huge influence in James’ choice to go to Philadelphia, and yet Brown is elated that he can share the floor with James.
This season could be a special one for many players on the 76ers team. The young guys get to play with the championship veterans while the veterans are hoping to win a championship, some for the first time in their career. All this hinges upon James and his relationship with his teammates. Throughout the course of this season, the team has talked about building relationships and trying to find the similarities between one another for their chemistry to grow.
While it does take some chemistry to be one as a team, being happy to just play with someone you idolize could be enough. Edgecombe and Brown are both linked to one another, and that’s a nod to James as well. Not just because they have both looked up to James, but because James wants these two to grow together and make the other a better player.

This just goes to show the kind of influence James has on the 76ers. From top to bottom, the front office as well as the players have bought into what James is selling, and what he’s selling is a winning formula. To win, everyone is going to have to do things differently than they have in the past.
For a 76er franchise that is just begging to win a championship, having players like James, who wants this team to build on their relationship with Edgecombe, James and the rest of the team is going to be highly beneficial.
