AEW Teases Ilja Dragunov’s Debut at WrestleDream!
AEW has just dropped another vignette, and it’s all about teasing a debut at WrestleDream. This follows the same style of teaser from this week’s Dynamite, which heavily hinted at Ilja Dragunov’s arrival. A second video popped up on Friday evening, tagged with ‘AEW WrestleDream’, confirming that the debut is set for Saturday’s pay-per-view in Orlando.
Dragunov left WWE when his contract expired, wrapping up a seven-year run. During his time there, he started as NXT U.K. Champion and then moved to the U.S., capturing the NXT Championship in September 2023. After WrestleMania 40, he was shifted to the Raw roster, but an injury sidelined him for a year, leading to a move to SmackDown. His main roster highlight was winning the U.S. Championship in October 2025 from Sami Zayn, which he lost to Carmelo Hayes in December.
WrestleDream is going down at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando on Saturday night.
