LA Galaxy vs San Diego Prediction, Betting Tips, Lineups & Odds – USFTB

LA Galaxy host San Diego FC at Dignity Health Sports Park on Saturday, October 17th, with kick-off scheduled for 22:30. We are backing LA Galaxy to take the win at attractive odds of +102 with BetMGM.

Galaxy are in decent form, having secured back-to-back home wins, including a recent 2-0 victory against Portland Timbers. Marco Reus and Justin Haak were on the scoresheet, and this home strength is a big reason why we like their chances. They have won four of their last five matches on their own turf.

San Diego FC recently played out an entertaining 3-3 draw against Houston Dynamo, with Anders Dreyer, Cedric Bakambu, and Gabriel Pirani all finding the net. However, they have struggled away from home, losing three of their last five road trips. Historically, San Diego has had the upper hand in this rivalry, winning the last three meetings, including a 3-1 victory in the last head-to-head clash.

Looking at the lineups, LA Galaxy are set up in a 4-2-3-1. James Marcinkowski starts in goal, with Justin Haak, Sergi Roberto, and Marco Reus in midfield and attack alongside Joao Klauss. San Diego will line up in a 4-3-3, with Pablo Sisniega in goal and key players like Anders Dreyer and Cedric Bakambu leading the line.

For player props, Marco Reus is a strong candidate for the anytime goalscorer market at +180, given he has scored in his recent matches. Joseph Paintsil is also worth a look for shots on target at +155.

On the corners market, LA Galaxy have failed to hit the 4.5 corners mark in their last two games, while San Diego have conceded under 4.5 corners in most of their recent away matches. The under on Galaxy corners at -110 looks like a smart bet.

In the broader odds market, Galaxy are favorites at +108, while San Diego are at +190. The Asian handicap -0.25 at -122 offers some insurance for Galaxy backers, while Over 2.5 goals is the popular choice in the total goals market.
