Seattle Sounders are back at Lumen Field after a two‑game road trip, facing last‑place CF Montreal. The Sounders’ nine‑game unbeaten run ended with a 1‑0 defeat to FC Dallas, leaving them seventh in the Western Conference. Montreal sits just two points ahead of Sporting KC in the wooden spoon race, with only two road wins this season and a 1‑9‑1 record in its last eleven away matches. The club also has a Canadian Championship match on Wednesday, which could pull its focus. Montreal will be without leading scorer Prince Owusu, whose 15 goals and six assists make up nearly two‑thirds of the team’s goal output. The Sounders hold a 3‑6‑1 edge in eleven all‑time meetings with Montreal, including a 5‑0 victory in their most recent clash. Seattle has four regular‑season games remaining, two at home and two on the road.
