WTA Wuhan Round Two Best Bets Including Sakkari vs Kostyuk
The WTA Wuhan Open is well underway in China. The WTA Wuhan event is the second of two 1,000-point tournaments in China on the Asian fall swing. WTA Beijing immediately precedes Wuhan. Qinwen Zheng defeated Mirra Andreeva in the Beijing final. As a result, both players have pulled out of Wuhan, which isn’t surprising. In Wuhan, we have already seen Alexandra Eala lose. It will be interesting to see, this late in the season, which top players power through to the finish line and which ones run out of gas. For bettors, this is the primary question this late in the season. Let’s see what happens in the early rounds of Wuhan, as players make one more push for needed ranking points and some momentum before the 2026 tennis season comes to a close. LWOS has our best bets for three matches. Post your best bets and thoughts in the comments.
WTA Wuhan
Sakkari – Kostyuk: 2:00 EST
H2H: 2-2
Marta Kostyuk has had a very strong tennis season. She has gone deep into multiple Major tournaments and has produced the best overall results of her career. However, Kostyuk suffered a minor wrist injury, which kept her from competing in the Billie Jean King Cup finals. Kostyuk has not played a professional tour match since September 17. That’s almost a full month. Will she be restored in this WTA Wuhan match, or will she be rusty?
Best Bet to Make
This is a rather interesting match at WTA Wuhan. Kostyuk is coming off an injury break. That means Sakkari is likely to be the better player. Sakkari might not even win, but she should be able to keep this match close. We will take Sakkari on the set spread as our standalone wager.
That being said, betting on Sakkari +1.5 sets is a value bet for sure.

Kasatkina – Ostapenko: 2:00 EST
H2H: 2-6
Jelena Ostapenko is 6-2 in eight meetings with Daria Kasatkina. The key WTA Wuhan question is if Kasatkina can turn things around in this matchup. Ostapenko has famously never lost a match to Iga Swiatek, so there are matchups where she’s simply much more comfortable. This is one of them. Kasatkina has to make adjustments and see if she can change how this match is played.
Best Bet to Make
It is worth noting that of the eight matches these players have played, only two have been since 2021. Nevertheless, it’s really hard to go against Ostapenko in this WTA Wuhan match. She clearly likes playing against Kasatkina. It seems unwise to bet on anything else.
That being said, betting on Ostapenko winning is a value bet for sure.

Snigur – Mertens: 2:00 EST
H2H: 0-0
Elise Mertens made the WTA Beijing semifinals. She is playing some of her best tennis of the year right now. Daria Snigur had a solid Beijing tournament, making the Round of 16. Mertens is in better form, but Snigur is in good form also. Will Mertens better form win out, or will Snigur play well enough to beat her Belgian opponent?
Best Bet to Make
This WTA Wuhan match has a good player against a better player. Daria Snigur is a good player, but she isn’t as good as Elise Mertens. It’s that simple. Take Mertens against the game spread.
That being said, betting on Mertens -2.5 games is a value bet for sure.
