Dodgers Reunite with Dustin May in High-Stakes NLCS Rematch
Former Los Angeles Dodgers top prospect Dustin May is heading back to Dodger Stadium, but he will be wearing a Milwaukee Brewers uniform when they clash in the National League Championship Series.
May, once pegged as a future front-of-the-rotation arm, signed a two-year deal with the St. Louis Cardinals and managed to breathe new life into his career. In St. Louis, he posted a solid 3.15 FIP and threw a near no-hitter, impressing enough that the Brewers acquired him and lefty reliever Jojo Romero at the trade deadline.
Though May struggled with Milwaukee in the regular season, posting a 5.65 ERA, he remains a key part of their pitching plan for the postseason, whether starting or pitching in long relief.
The Dodgers traded May in mid-2025, acquiring prospects James Tibbs II and Zach Ehrhard. That move proved brilliant for Los Angeles, as the team went on to win the 2025 World Series while both prospects developed into promising talents. May, on the other hand, struggled after the trade, posting a 5.40 ERA in Boston. Now, the former phenom returns to where it all began, looking to disrupt his old team’s championship aspirations.
